An Unedited Rare Interview with Aaron C. Hanson [04 Jan 2010|10:20am]

1) Hi Aaron. Most of the Coast audience knows you from your appearances on the show as Aaron Donahue. Can you tell us why you decided to change your name?

Apart from a welcome change, the name at hand presents the opportunity for repetition which is key for a minimal effort as per the passive observer in terms of memory. Furthermore, the words combined create an anagram that best conforms to an ideal for living that I and many of my readers strongly identify with. This being said, it is the association of similar sounding words that positively fit the image of strength and beauty.

Talk Radio Europe will be interviewing Psychic Aaron C. Hanson [03 Dec 2009|02:19am]

Talk Radio Europe will be interviewing Psychic Aaron C. Hanson

Airs Friday Night Dec.4 from 14:00-16:00pm EST on Talk Radio Europe

December 4, 2009 14:00 EST (19:00 Barcelona, España CET) - Aaron C. Hanson will join Presenter Steve Gilmour for a discussion on psychic functioning and the future concerning a one world spiritual form of socialist government, its Caliphate, and the coming financial problems for Europe and the United States. A special emphasis will be placed on a recently remote viewed perspective of Spain, its future, and related world events.

ABOUT Talk Radio Europe - 5 years ago, we identified a need for a radio station that provided the English speaking communities on the Costas of southern Spain with a range of first class talk programmes, and a judicious mix of music, all matching the eclectic and sophisticated tastes of our listeners. Radio Europe Mediterraneo was born from the vision of its founding broadcaster, Maurice Boland and around him Maurice built a team of the highest quality, to present a wide variety of programs and interview a huge range of interesting guests from around the world. The station has been featured on numerous British factual TV shows and maintains a long-standing association with the British and Foreign press working closely with the BBC, ITV, SKY and RTE (Ireland).

In the years that followed, the station has widened its appeal both to its listeners and to its advertisers and sponsors, many of whom operate on both a national and international scale and who appreciate the benefits that a talk radio station offers them in advertising their goods and services. With that in mind, we felt the time was right to re-brand as Talk Radio Europe, leaving both regular and new listeners and advertisers in no doubt as to who we are.

Talk Radio Europe continues the station’s tradition of charitable and community work and is the chosen medium for information broadcast on behalf of the Junta de Andalucia, regional Town Halls, the British Consulate and many other official bodies wishing to communicate with the expatriate communities in southern Spain.

ABOUT Steve Gilmour - Not a formally trained broadcaster, but I have spent most of my life talking for a living. Having spent a large part of my life working within sales for two of the worlds biggest breweries, Guinness and Scottish & Newcastle. It was whilst working for these two companies that I became heavily involved in sports sponsorship, dealing directly with the management and directors of numerous sporting events and the football clubs.

At the grand age of 37 and at the top of my chosen career I suffered a sudden illness, which left me critically ill, and resulted in two major operations and subsequent spells in intensive care. On discovering you only live twice, and over the course of a twelve month recovery period, I decided that life really can be too short and to go after everything I wanted to do in life....

Give up working for large PLCs and all the politics involved
Spend more time with my family Achieve my dream of owning my own quality bar/restaurant business
Do a bit of Club DJ work
Try living/working in Spain – a country I always felt at home in
Achieve a presenting job in Radio/TV

Seven rollercoaster years on I have achieved ALL of these things... I sold my business in Scotland and moved to Spain in mid 2007, and after a well deserved extended holiday I managed to convince Maurice to let me loose on the airwaves as the stations sports correspondent.

ABOUT Aaron C. Hanson - Aaron is the psychic and remote viewer who was featured on the TV Documentary, In Search Of…(remake), in the episode on Psychic Spies. Aaron demonstrated that he could precisely locate a person at a remote location using only his remote viewing skills. He has been featured on such television shows as “SOS” of TV Asahi in Japan, mainstream radio broadcasts such as Coast to Coast AM with Art Bell, George Noory, and others. He was filmed in a major motion picture “Suspect Zero” where he also served as technical assistant. Since then he has been investing using his psychic talent with a higher degree of documented success.

Aaron has done multiple Internet radio broadcasts, and keeps a popular blog on his Facebook, Myspace, and Live Journal pages. You can also contact him on Twitter and various other popular websites where he occasionally reveals winning lottery numbers for specific areas of the world. His most shocking lottery success was posted on November 5th, 2008 for President Obama’s home state of Illinois marking his first in a series of postings. Aaron predicted 666 as this number and in fact, that was the winning number!

If it involves relevance, mystery, and fantastic controversy, Aaron has the “it” and is as always deep within it all. This fascinating man has been described by many as a strange genius, wildly eccentric, inexhaustibly soulful, and enigmatic.

Konxari Cards. What do you think? [02 Aug 2009|02:04pm]

So I posted here a while back, but I think I came across the wrong way. I'm not looking to sell anything, just your feedback.

What's the consensus? A card divination process that combines tarot cards with a ouija board?

Can these cards really deliver messages from those on the other side??

Vampires Today: The Truth About Modern Vampirism (Academic Book) [06 Jun 2009|04:27pm]

If you're interested in the Vampirism & Energy Work Research Study (VEWRS/AVEWRS), sanguinarian and/or psychic vampirism, or the vampire community in general you will want to purchase a copy of this book.  There hasn't been anything quite like this published before... a very different kind of text/approach than that of Ramsland, Guiley, Guinn, and others.

The academic and sociological significance of this work can't be underscored enough.  Laycock offers a sweeping scholarly examination of the vampire community and the process of self-identification as a vampire.  He counters many of the negative stereotypes of the vampire community and posits thought-provoking arguments regarding ontological diversity.  I strongly encourage everyone to obtain a copy of this book and link to it as a resource for vampirism and the vampire community.

Inside Cover:

Vampires are not just the stuff of folklore and fiction. This book explores the modern world of vampirism in all its variety.

Around the globe, untold numbers of people are identifying as "vampires" and following the ways of "vampirism."  But what does it mean to be a vampire?  Is vampirism a religion? Is it a fantasy? Is it a medical condition?  Based upon extensive interviews with members of the Atlanta Vampire Alliance and others within vampire communities throughout the United States, Vampires Today looks at the many expressions of vampirism.

In the past two decades, modern vampirism has come under increased study, yet most scholarship has portrayed the vampire community as a cultural phenomenon or, at worst, as a religious cult. Having interviewed many vampires across the country, both "lifestylers" and "real," even those "reluctants" who try not to be vampires, Laycock argues that today's vampires are best understood as an identity group and that vampirism has caused a profound change in how individuals choose to define themselves. As vampires come "out of the closet," either as followers of a "religion" or "lifestyle" or as people biologically distinct from other humans, their confrontation with mainstream society will raise questions about the definition of "normal" and what it means to be human.

In this book, readers will meet "lifestyle vampires," who adopt a culture and a gothic ascetic associated with the vampires of art and legend.  They will be introduced to "real" vampires, who feel that they must actually consume blood and/or psychic energy for their well being.  They will hear from members of the Atlanta Vampire Alliance, and they will learn about the Order of the Vampyre, the Ordo Strigoi Vii, and the Temple of the Vampire.

There is no doubt that anyone who reads this book will find the details of real vampire life--including vampire role-playing games, grimoires, "vampyre" balls, vampire houses like House Sahjaza and House Kheperu, the vampire "caste" system, and other details--utterly fascinating.

Additional Notes:  The author holds a Masters of Divinity from Harvard University, a recipient of a grant from the Pluralism Project, and currently enrolled in the Division of Religious and Theological Studies at Boston University where he's working on his PhD.  He has presented on the topic of vampirism at the American Academy of Religion Conference in San Diego where he argued that "vampirism" should not be classified as a new religious movement (NRM) and to faculty at the University of Michigan and other institutional bodies on the sociological and emergent scientific aspects of vampirism.  He will be delivering a paper on Otherkin in August (2009) at the Association for the Sociology of Religion's annual conference in San Francisco, CA.  Laycock is well versed in the structure of the vampire community, has interviewed many individuals from diverse paths, and attended multiple gatherings.

Grimoires: Lecture followed by Launch Drinks 3rd June [01 Jun 2009|11:15am]

Grimoires: Lecture followed by Launch Drinks from Oxford University Press
Professor Owen Davies (University of Hertfordshire)
3rd June (Wednesday) 7.15 for 7.30 start. £5
Treadwells, 34 Tavistock St, Covent Garden.

Professor Owen Davies is the author of the seminal study of cunning men and cunning women (published first as Cunning Folk, reprinted as Popular Magic). His new book on magical texts is eagerly awaited, and tonight is its launch night. He will be giving a lecture on one aspect of the grimoire tradition, from his latest research. A launch party follows, hosted by the publisher of the book, Oxford University Press.

Owen Davies is Professor of Social History at the University of Hertfordshire. Much of his work has concerned the continued widespread belief in witchcraft and magic in the modern period, and why witchcraft accusations eventually declined in England during the early twentieth century. This has also led to work on popular medicine and folklore, comparative studies regarding France and Scotland, and interdisciplinary research applying anthropological and biomedical knowledge to historical topics. He has spoken at Treadwell's before and we warmly welcome his return.
Tickets will go on sale in April 2009.

Reserve your place via Treadwell's by email (info@treadwells-london.com), or by phone, 020 7240 8906. Payment confirms booking. Treadwell's hosts courses and workshops taught by most experienced and gifted practitioners we know -- tutors who are not only advanced in their subjects but are also able to consider their practices thoughtfully and critically. Our aim is to make the study of esoteric disciplines available to thinking, well-read enquirers. You can also get events updates via an RSS Feed (http://www.treadwells-london.com/events.php). We have an archive of past courses (http://www.treadwells-london.com/coursespast.asp), and you can also subscribe to our mailing list (http://www.treadwells-london.com/mailinglist.php).
